Summary
The Application Analyst II is responsible for efficient and timely hands-on support, troubleshooting, remediation, and training for all applications end-users' support. This position works closely with the end-users daily to provide direction, instruction, and assistance troubleshooting mission-critical system features and functionality. The ability to explore various options to enhance the user's workflow and operational needs while maximizing the use of technology is a must. This person will be tasked with facilitating the use and continuous improvement of the EHR/EMR software to optimize the effectiveness of the system, including training new and existing staff and practitioners. Additional responsibilities include application analysis, clinical system updates, and involvement in new site or software implementation projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Support and maintain clinical system applications utilizing required tools and technologies
· Manages the design, preparation, and implementation of EHR upgrades and migration for AFC for Clinic Staff.
· Create and maintain clinical application support and training when requested.
· Design and configure EHR templates, workflows, and reports.
· Access and troubleshoot technical issues encountered by Team Members.
· Help enhance the EHR process at the clinics.
· Able to provide training and be the subject matter expert of all clinc software.
· Create and monitor support tickets with EHR vendors (eClinicalworks / Docutap) and work to resolve problems quickly and accurately.
· Provide support for EHR system hardware, including configuration and troubleshooting.
· Maintain EHR security settings as well as other system configurations.
· Analyze, coordinate and assist with the development, testing, maintenance, and education for system applications.
· Communicate changes/new initiatives and critical issues to end-users.
· Assume special projects as directed and document them appropriately.
· Provide backup coverage for helpdesk functions
· Provide backup for other system applications as needed.
· Maintain good attendance, adhere to required work schedule, and be flexible to work schedule changes necessary to meet call/department coverage demands, as well as after-hours support
· Research technologies to improve the performance and reliability of hospital-wide information flow.
· Support proprietary and industry-standard interfaces between clinical equipment, servers, software, and outside entities.

Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of Electronic Medical Records Systems. Experience building forms, writing reports and training staff on the use of computer systems and EHR software applications, including functionality and workflow. Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team with staff at various levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail.
Educational Requirements
B.S degree in Computer Science or related field with relevant experience preferred.
Experience in a complex health-care environment or the equivalent in experience is required.
An additional two years of demonstrated application analyst experience may be substituted for up to two years of the educational requirement.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Office environment. Extensive use of keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Close attention to detail and ability to focus. Ability to reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. Potential exposure to potentially infectious material. Moderate noise level.
